Nick Rainey is a percussionist and Instrumental Performance major at Oklahoma City University, where he continues to develop his skills as both a performer and educator.

 

Beyond performing, Nick is very passionate about helping young musicians discover their own voice and confidence through music. He is excited to bring his experience as a performer and educator to Oklahoma Youth Orchestras and help create an encouraging environment where young percussionists can share their emotion and voice while developing a lifelong love for music. 

 

Nick has performed with ensembles at OCU such as the Wind Ensemble and the Orchestra. He also performed with different Marching Ensembles such as the Blue Knights and Zephyrus. He is a finalist of the Great Plains International Marimba Contest and a podium finisher at the TCU Marimba Competition.

 

Nick is based in Oklahoma City, where he continues his studies at Oklahoma City University while performing, teaching, and pursuing opportunities to grow as a musician and educator.
