The following OKYO ensembles rehearse at Oklahoma City University (OCU) at the Wanda L. Bass Music Center: Oklahoma Youth Orchestra (OYO), Oklahoma Youth Philharmonic (OYP), Oklahoma Youth Winds (OYW), Chamber Orchestra (CO), Sinfonia (SINF), Percussion Ensemble (PERC), Festival Winds (FW), Festival Strings OKC and Studio Rockestra (SR).
 

• OYO: Large Rehearsal Hall or Petree Recital Hall - 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
   

• PERC: Location Varies - Times vary, generally 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
   

• OYP: Small Rehearsal Hall - 5:30 p.m. to 7:20 p.m.
   

• OYW: Small Rehearsal Hall - 7:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m.*starts November*
   

• CO: FA 344 - 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
   

• SINF: FA 344 - 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.
   

• Festival Winds: BL01 - 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
   

• Festival Strings OKC: FA 311 - 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m
   

• Studio Rockestra: BL01 - 7:15pm-8:30pm
   

Directions to Oklahoma City University

The Bass Music Center is located at the intersection of NW 25th Street and Blackwelder Avenue. It is the building (#522) circled in red below. The best way to access the main entrance to the Bass Music Center is to head west on NW 23rd Street, turn right onto McKinley Avenue and then turn left onto NW 25th Street. Once you enter the main entrance to the Bass Music Center (large, glass front building), follow the signs to our check in area and our OKYO team members can direct you to the appropriate rehearsal space for your ensemble.

Rehearsals for Festival Strings Edmond and Norman will take place at the following locations and times:

 

Festival Strings Edmond: Cimarron Middle School - 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Address: 3701 S Bryant Ave, Edmond, OK 73013

Directions: Enter through the doors on the northwest side of the building in the bus loop. Look for the "Festival Strings" sign on the door. If you arrive after rehearsal has started, please call the Cimarron Orchestra Office at 405-726-5513 to be let into the building.

 

Festival Strings Norman: Whittier Middle School - 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Address: 2000 W Brooks St, Norman, OK 73069 

Directions: Students should enter the building through the east parking lot and enter through the single door just to the left of the double doors. This will lead directly into the orchestra room.
