Day 1 - Sun, June 1, 2025
USA to EUROPE
You will begin your journey to Europe by boarding an international flight to Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.
Day 2 - Mon, June 2, 2025
ARRIVE PRAGUE
Upon arrival in Prague, meet your tour manager and driver and check into your hotel. Welcome dinner and overnight in Prague.
Day 3 - Tue, June 3, 2025
PRAGUE
This morning you'll take a sightseeing tour of Prague that will include some of its main sights like Prague Castle and St. Vitus. The Prague Castle is one of the largest castles
in Europe and contains more than seven hundred rooms. St. Vitus Cathedral is another stunning building steeped with history and is the largest cathedral in the Czech Republic. Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” Prague is also known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. Completed in 1402, pedestrian Charles Bridge is lined with statues of Catholic saints. The afternoon will be free at leisure. This evening you'll perform a concert at Dvorak Hall, shared with Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Day 4 - Wed, June 4, 2025
PRAGUE / VIENNA
Transfer this morning to Vienna and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the city's main sights upon arrival. Vienna is Austria’s capital city and is located on the Danube River. Popular sights and landmarks in Vienna include Ring Avenue, Hofburg Palace, The Opera House, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and Schönbrunn Palace. Visitors to Vienna also like to visit Central Cemetery, the final resting place for Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Salieri, and Strauss II. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.
Day 5 - Thu, June 5, 2025
VIENNA
This morning you'll enjoy a visit to the Haus der Musik, the first museum of sound and music in Austria. It features high tech interactive and multimedia presentations that introduce the world of music, from the earliest human use of instruments to the music
of the present day. The afternoon will be free at leisure. In the evening you'll perform a concert at the ORF Radiokulturhaus shared with Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.
Day 6 - Fri, June 6, 2025
VIENNA / ST. FLORIAN MONASTERY / SALZBURG
This morning you'll attend a masterclass / workshop with Christoph Ehrenfellner to celebrate the 200th Birthday of Johann Strauss. Possible themes for the workshop include: Imperial rounds – the Kaiserwaltz; Taking off with Strauss – getting in the feel of the
waltz; and Blue Dancing on the Danube – a deep dive into the Blue Danube waltz. In the afternoon you'll transfer to Salzburg with a stop en route to visit the St. Florian Monastery near Linz. This Augustinian monastery can trace its history back to the 9th century A.D. and is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Famous composer Anton Bruckner was heavily influenced by 13 formative years in St. Florian, first as a choirboy, then later as a teacher and monastery organist. Continue to Salzburg for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Sat, June 7, 2025
SALZBURG
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Salzburg this morning that will include a visit to Mozart’s “Geburtshaus” or birthplace. You can walk through the original rooms in which the Mozart family lived and see artifacts such as historical instruments, documents, keepsakes and mementos, and the majority of the portraits painted during Mozart’s lifetime. Among the most famous exhibits are Mozart’s childhood violin, his clavichord, portraits and letters belonging to the Mozart family. In the afternoon you'll visit the Hallein Salt Mine, known as Salzbergwerk Dürrnberg. This underground salt mine is located in the Dürrnberg plateau above Hallein, Austria. The mine has been worked for over 7,000 years since the time of the Celtic tribes and earlier. It helped ensure nearby Salzburg would become a powerful trading community. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
Day 8 - Sun, June 8, 2025
SALZBURG
This morning, discover Salzburg in the footsteps of “The Sound of Music” and see the locations where the world-famous film was shot. Some of the highlights and film locations that you will see on your tour include: the Gardens of Mirabell Palace, Leopoldskron Palace, Hellbrunn Nonnberg Abbey, St. Gilgen, and Lake Wolfgang. Optional Yodel Workshop (time permitting, not included in the package). Learn yodelling with your
group and create lasting harmony by singing together. The popular yodelling workshop is an experience of a special kind! In the evening you'll perform a concert in Salzburg or surroundings. Possible venues include Abtenau Main Square, Culture Center Knappenheim or similar. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
Day 9 - Mon, June 9, 2025
MUNICH / USA
After breakfast transfer to the Munich airport to begin your journey back to the USA. You will take with you lifelong memories of exploring and performing in Central Europe, sharing your own culture and encountering the rich artistic cultures of these countries.
