Iris Gracia

Iris Gracia is an arts administrator, clarinetist, and former band director. Originally from Mercedes, Texas, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2015 and her Master’s degree from Oklahoma City University in Clarinet Performance in 2019. She received her second Master’s degree from Oklahoma City University in Nonprofit Leadership with a focus in Arts Administration in July of 2021.

Prior to her appointment as Communications Manager of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras, Iris had the joy of teaching at the middle and high school levels at Mercedes ISD and Weslaco ISD in Texas. Throughout her time as a band director and private lesson instructor, she has witnessed how access to music and performing opportunities changed the lives of her students and she will help foster those same life-changing experiences for the students of OKYO.

Iris currently lives in Oklahoma City with her husband Mathew Campbell who is a composer, conductor, and alum of OCU. Outside of music, she enjoys spending time with her husband at Scissortail Park and supporting local events, restaurants, and coffee shops.
